From the time I could pick up a pencil I've never stopped drawing, just put me in a corner with something to draw with and some paper and you wouldn't hear from me for hours( I was a very easy kid to
babysit for). For me, time does not exist when I get involved in a project and I seem to disappear as well.
I have had no real formal training (though I would have liked to) but I've had some wonderful teachers along the way in the many workshops I've taken and also in the classes I've taken at the Artworkshop at Westchester community college in White Plains.
My first love has been watercolor ,I just love the free form styles of artists like Jeanne Carbonetti and Lian Quan Zhen both of whom I've studied with. But in recent years I've turned my attention to oils.I have not quite pinned down my style or subject matter yet, but then
again, I don't think I'll ever really want to, I'm having too much fun.
I do know that I find this world and the human condition endlessly fasinating and try to bring across my feelings about it in
my work as well as a message, but I believe everyone has their own personal relationship with the art they view and I don't like to interfere with that by giving wordy explainations about what my paintings mean.
I have moved to the Albany area since Sept.06 because of a wonderful person I've met and look forward to getting involved in it's art movement.
