Deb Carpenter

Artist Bio + |
Born and raised in the tri-city area, I moved to Guilderland when I married my still cute hubby.
It's only been two years since I first picked up a paint brush while taking a college class in landscape painting. The instructor, Marta Jaremko, was incredible! I had just finished my degree and didn't quite know what to do will all the spare time. This new-found hobby is now my passion.
Using the opague method, my paintings are a mixture of watercolor and gouache. With my pen name, just Deb, I like to include a bit of history and/or location of the places I have tried to replicate in my work. While I have not done my first show or exhibit yet, I am working out some details with a local arts and entertainment organization.
I should apologize for the photo of myself here... I'm usually the shutter bug, so I don't have many pictures of myself.
