Henry C. Meier, AWS has been captivated with watercolor since he was young. During overseas duty in the Army he sketched on-location to capture military life in France. After his wartime service he received an Engineering Degree at Penn State. Henry became a full time painter in 1986 and was elected to active membership in the American Watercolor Society in 2006.
He is affiliated with many prestigious Watercolor Societies and served as a Director and Membership Chairman of The Philadelphia Water Color Society. Henry has been honored with many awards from annual society exhibitions, including the Crest Award to him in 2004.
His work was featured in the Spring 2003 issue of Watercolor Magic and the Fall 1995 issue of The Watercolor Magazine, and a reproduction of an award winning painting was included in the 1994 Winsor Newton Artists Calendar.
In 2006 Henry C. Meier, AWS relocated to the Albany, New York area and is active in the Albany Art Scene.
