I was born and raised in Chicago, and spent innumerable hours at the Art Institute of Chicago. While family, friends or classmates admired the great masters of the Renaissance, I always gravitated to the galleries of the modern artists. I'm especially fond of abstract and non-representational art. A 10-year detour in Denver on my way to Albany left me with a love for the high peaks of the Rockies and a wild abandon when it comes to color.
I spend as much time as I can applying color to canvas, paper or fabric. My favorite medium is encaustic (wax), though acrylic and watercolor are often seen adorning my hands and clothing.
