Mary "mtherese" Feeley is a second-generation native Californian and a second-generation California artist. She was born and raised in Manhattan Beach and received early art instruction from her mother. Mary pursued a career in the health sciences but slowly returned to art after moving to upstate New York with her husband and son. She currently resides with her husband and two cats in Albany, New York.
Mary is a student of John Williams and has participated in workshops by Linda Bond, Larry Collins, Katherine Anne Hartley, Sylvie Kantorovitz Wickstrom, Kathryn Smith and Selina Trieff. Mary started exhibiting in 2005 and her first solo exhibit "Celebrating 100 years: Fauvism" was a salute to the 100th anniversary of the Salon D'Automne 1905. Her paintings are in private collections throughout the United States.
