Artist Bio +

Sharon West My work often deals with images surrounding life, death, sexuality and ethnicity; sometimes done in strong, bold, vibrant colors as I rarely mix colors.

The works frequently have elements of femininity which are very sexual and sometimes quite erotic. The human form, in my opinion, specifically the female form is the "beginning of all beginnings". The work somhow takes on a futuristic or sci-fi quality which seems not to be representational of any specific person or beings. (that I'm aware of)

My work does not try and suggest any political or social views, but merely presents an emotional feeling. What I create is often related to a particular mood or feeling at that given moment which is transformed onto canvas fairly quickly as to not "lose the mood".
