My Art:

My work is a mesh of hyperrealism and pop art. While I render my subjects using classical academic painting methods I push the colors toward the pure tone of early print media, adding a sense of surreal nostalgia. Like our memories, this is a middle ground between what genuinely was and the idealized version that pulls farther from the actual event with each remembering.

My Self:

I was born on the west coast of the United States in 1978. My family emigrated to the east coast in the early '80s. I finished high school in '96 and spent most of my 20s sidetracked by earning a living. I currently live in Saratoga Springs with my longtime partner Esther and her sons John and Connor.
